Students launch blog on Creativity, Wellbeing & Education

April 2, 2019

This Easter, we are proud to launch The Creative Kind, a new blog here on the SketchBetter website, written entirely by SketchBetter students.

The Creative Kind was inspired by nine-year old Young Leader, Lizzie, who has continued to show a thirst for creativity and digital technologies. Lizzie has continued to tell us that she would like to teach lessons and tell the world about SketchBetter, and her zest for all things creative has inspired many to follow her lead. More and more of our students are keen to use digital technologies and to share their creativity with the world, and The Creative Kind is here to support them to do that safely.

Through this blog, we will be educating our students about the incredible reach and possibilities presented by digital technology, about blogging, vlogging, journalism and social media, and about internet safety and mental health.

PARTICIPATE

To contribute to The Creative Kind, SketchBetter students of any age can submit a piece of creative writing, a lesson, an exhibition or book review, or perhaps a discussion about their own project work or ideas. After content has been received, we will request consent from legal guardians and selected content will be edited and then published online.

To make a submission, complete the The Creative Kind Submission Worksheet and hand to your SketchBetter teacher or club leader. Or email hello@sketchbetter.org
